Navman iCN 510 32MB GPS Navigator

User Review: 4 out of 5 stars - Great item worth the price
I purchased this item because im a field tech that drives to customers residence on a daily basis. Im never had one before so i went by the reviews
ill just list the pros first:
bright clear screen, easy to read and very detailed
voice is loud and clear
re routes in case u miss a turn
suction cup on windshield is very strong, never came off yet
comes with the entire us maps and streets
gives u notice of upcoming turns within 300ft
has a mcx port on antenna so u can purchase an external to mount on outside of car, cheap on ebay i may add $20

cons:
looses gps signal sometimes and sometimes u have to reboot then it will pick it up, not good if u r on the high way. If u are on a street i recommend to pull over and wait for it to reconnect. That why i purchased the external antenna to prevent that, works great. what do u expect, its satelite
maps like i said r great just hope we navman will update the newer streets.
no battery
no touchscreen but easy to navigate and enter in info
somtimes will go the longer way and i only notice that because i used it to get me to a adress that i know by heart and it took me the long way but never the less it got me there. ill tell u one thing i dont care if it takes me 5-10 minutes longer to get to a destination if im lost, as long as it gets me there. AND IT DOES. I had to check the diffrence between shortest route and quickest in order to take me onto the highway, u will have to test that, shortest route worked for me.

i recommend this item i rate it a 8 out of 10 just because of the gps signal loss, but like i said just purchase an antenna

theres not much i can say bad abou this item, it has worked great so far other than loosing the gps

User Review: 5 out of 5 stars - Great item! Street navigation or waypoints!!!
This is my 3rd GPS unit. I have previously owned Garmin products and this NAVMAN takes the prize! Not only is it portable so I can use it in any of my vehicles, but I can actually use waypoints. This is a great feature because not only can I use this product for road navigation, but I can use it for all of my outdoor activities like hiking, fishing and geocaching/orienteering! This is the only GPS that I have had my hands on, that you have no trouble seeing the screen when outdoors...it's a touch screen by the way!! The battery life is great I have not lost juice on it once. I usually let it run 5-6 hours before recharging. This is one of the better purchases I have made lately and have been recommending it to everyone. You just can beat the portability and the versatility!

User Review: 3 out of 5 stars - Overall nice but Software needs some reworking for bugs.
After reading several reviews of the Euro version, I decided to purchase the US version when it came out. Compared it against the similar featured: Garmin Quest (smaller screen), Magellan Roadmate 300 (no battery), and the Tom Tom Go (more expensive). Have found the satellite acquistion is excellent and the displayed map good. Mine has a minor hardware glitch in that the volume wheel does not work. My major complaint is the software (SmartST Version 3.0) which I consider full of bugs. Often the voice prompts & map visual directions are at odds with each other; attempting to program off a City's Zone (must be the Euro Zip code?) is worthless & confusing so should be deleted from US edition software; unit periodically just freezes & locks up which requires a reboot to clear. Otherwise, once Navman fixes the software this will be a sweet little unit.
