They have no customer services or support at all if your TomTom get broken under warranty (and it will happen) there will be no way to fix it cause nobody will replay your email. So, good product, bad company. Try to call to any of the telephones. There will be no replay...ever!!! User Review: - Unable to use GO 300I live in Hawaii and require a map of Hawaii. The CD shipped with the unit is, strangely enough, a Dell 1450 USB wireless installation CD that contain no maps of Hawaii or Canada as labeled, or manual of instruction. In short I have a useless product for use in Hawaii until TomTom sends me the correct CD with the correct contents rather than Dell wireless installation which has no application to the GO TomTom 300. User Review: - TomTom Go 300 - A Very Good ProductI have no complains about TomTom whatsoever. It is very easy to program, provides correct directions and does not get you lost. Installing it in the car can be a challenge because the provided attachment is not too reliable but the product itself I can recommend. User Review: - Great new GPS systemTomTom is a European (Dutch) GPS system that's very new to the US market. I've been very impressed with how well it gets me around my home in the San Francisco Bay Area. However, it did have some problems locating my hotel recently in the northern Ft. Worth, Texas suburbs. Having used the Magellan system in Hertz rental cars, I'd have to say this is at least on-par with that system. You can download annual map updates (for a price) that'll theoretically solve problems with new & changing roads in the US. I would tend to agree with comments that the out-of-the-box documentation and registration instructions are confusing. Turns out you should ignore them anyway (as I discovered by calling TomTom customer support directly.) Since this system is new to the US, their US website isn't up and running yet - but I was able to purchase & download the John Cleese voice by using the UK website and paying in Euros with my credit card. What other GPS system lets you hear John Cleese tell you to "bear right, beaver left"? Hah! |
