Magellan RoadMate 800 Portable GPS NavigatorUser Review: - You get what you pay for....Something is very wrong with my system. Is it online and cheap because it's a reject? It gives me wrong directions, says that addresses don't exist, gives me altogether wrong addresses for the "Points of Interests", the battery doesn't seem to charge properly. I'm disappointed. I've had 2 other Magellens from a reputable brick and shop and didn't have these problems. In addition (warning), the 800 isn't compatible with any of the bases. The window suction is the only mounting option, which is REALLY annoying. User Review: - RoadMate 800 is a competent deviceI like the fact it has a rechargeable battery to allow setup without being plugged into the vehicle--It would be nice if the battery had longer life. It would also be nice if there was a mechanism to protect the display from cracking when packed by idiots like me. It's a somewhat clunky device by todays measure, but still a very well performing device. User Review: - Magellan RoadMate 800Absoutly the best !! Has not let me down yet ! I bought one to share with a friend. We liked it so much, we bought a second one so that neither of us would be without it when traveling to unfamilar areas. User Review: - magellan 800 roadmate gps for the directionally challengedFor those that get lost driving round the block this is easy to use and will get you where you want to go. User Review: - So Simple It is hard to do.If I had follwed the route this unit provided to Burns, OR. I would never have arrived. Seems to have lots of out of date information and routes. The software seems to wrap you around the same two screens making destination addressing time consuming. I do not reccomend this product and want my money back. |
