Magellan RoadMate 360 GPS Portable NavigatorUser Review: - Poor quality and HORRIBLE customer serviceMy unit worked well for a short while then broke. It suddenly stopped turning on. Sent in for service under warranty. Their customer service is HORRIBLE! So far they have had it for 2 months. There is no communication about it, and every time I call I get their call center in India and the people there have no idea what the status of the unit is. They read from a script and are entirely unhelpful. I am never buying another Magellan product ever, and I recommend no one else does either. User Review:  - Magellan 360It stopped working after using it about 10 times , can't find any help on their web-site, and no one answers their phone numbers in their manual. Except the one number to India and they say they don't handle this product anymore. At least that is what I think they said???!! Frank Malowski User Review: - Overpriced junk - cant update the mapsI have had this product a little over a year under the premise (as stated by magellan) that the maps could be updated. They even sent a data cable for connecting to a pc. Unfortunately, they have discontinued the product and there is no procedure to update the maps. I never would have bought this had I known the unit could not be updated. I don't believe I will ever buy another Magellan product. User Review: - Not for the heartlandOn main roads it's ok, but in the country it useless. it takes the long way no matter how hard you try major roads are missing. IT'S a toy at best User Review: - Horrible technical supportThe unit itself was just "OK". After about a year, it started having issues booting and finding satellites. Then, the windshield bracket broke. Then the unit stopped powering on and I shipped it for repairs. It's been 30 days and after 5 calls to their Indian tech support - I still don't know the status of my unit. They would not provide its location, tracking number and continue to feed me with promises that "I shoudl wait and hopefullly it will be shipped in another 7 days" (I heard that same answer 4 times already). Needless to say, I hope that they all go to hell and I will never buy their products. There is enough competition in this space where I don't have to be subjected to a subpar technical support. |
